A Grassroots Voice for South Carolina Education

Baba Amin for SC Superintendent of Education

South Carolina does not need more polished talking points. We need leadership rooted in the people, accountable to the people, and committed to building an education system that truly serves our youth, our families, and our working communities.

Who Is Dr. Baba Amin Ojuok?

I’m a man of the people, a grassroots educator, and a lifelong advocate for youth and families. Everything I’ve done has been centered on helping people grow, find direction, and build a better future. I’m not stepping into this race from the world of polished politics. I’m stepping into it from real experience, real service, and a real belief that our children deserve better.

I’m running for Superintendent of Education because I want to help lead South Carolina into a new era—one where working families are respected, teachers are supported, students are developed with purpose, and our education system is built to serve the people from the ground up.

“There are two ways of exerting one’s strength: one is pushing down, the other is pulling up.”

- Booker T. Washington

South Carolina does not need an education system that pushes students down through neglect, confusion, and low expectations. We need one that pulls them up with vision, structure, and opportunity.

Great schools are built by great teachers — and great teachers deserve a leader who understands what they do.
